Tonight I was driving home in my rental Prius which only has a CD player. I was forced to listen to the radio instead of my normal music. I had Love Line on and when it went to commercial I searched for some more entertainment on other stations. I found Bob Dylan playing on the local classic rock station, but for some reason after a minute or so of Mr. Dylan changed the station. I landed on Jack FM which was playing "Someday" by Sugar Ray.
What was it that made me change the station from Bob Dylan to Sugar Ray? Why at 11:30 pm was Mark McGrath's band more appealing than one of the great folk singers of all time? As I belted out the lyrics to this ridiculous Sugar Ray song these questions were all I could think of. For the short minute that I listened to Bob Dylan I started to become overwhelmed by the amount of metaphors being thrown at me. I think the simplicity of Sugar Ray is what drew me to the station.
